Vertigo Games and Little Chicken Announce Publishing Partnership for “Traffic Jams”
Dutch Collaboration Slated to Arrive on Major VR Platforms Later This Year
Rotterdam, NL – May 28, 2020: Vertigo Games, the publishing company behind some of VR’s early and most successful games, and game development studio Little Chicken Game Company (REKT!, Track Labs) today announced a publishing partnership for Traffic Jams, a tongue-in-cheek VR game that will be coming to major VR platforms later this year.
“VR is successfully carving out its place in the living room and we immediately saw the potential of Traffic Jams to excite both new and experienced VR players there,” said Richard Stitselaar, Managing Director at Vertigo Games. “Its playful art style and fun characters combined with easy to pick-up, hard to master gameplay makes it appealing and accessible to a wide audience in a genre that has not yet seen its fill. We’re thrilled to combine our forces with old friends at Little Chicken and help them bring this gem to VR players worldwide.”
In the world of Traffic Jams all traffic lights have gone out and you are the only one who can keep traffic flowing in the face of outrageous events and flagrant road rage. Starting out on a quiet corner in a small town, job offers soon start pouring in from iconic cities around the globe where it’s up to you to guide rude pedestrians, impatient drivers, and the occasional meteorite along before road rage strikes. Sound easy? Think again! This chaotic VR game is full of monsters, (un)natural disasters, and something called… ‘cheese bowling’?
“In Vertigo Games we found the ideal partner and publisher for Traffic Jams,” said Yannis Bolman, CEO at Little Chicken Game Company. “Not only do they provide a wealth of information about the world of VR games through their experience in this field, in Vertigo Games we found like-minded souls that enjoy creativity and crazy ideas to make the most of this unique medium we call VR. Next to this synergy we’ve known the people at Vertigo for many years, and it’s been an absolute pleasure to work with them and combine our powers through Traffic Jams.”

About Little Chicken
Little Chicken started making games back in 2001. With a rich history in work for hire projects, among which are a lot of VR projects on the early VR platforms, the studio switched to making their own games back in 2015. They released REKT! and Rescue Wings on mobile platforms. And also Track Lab, a music-making gamified tool on the PlayStation VR platform. From that team comes Traffic Jams, where all the lessons learned in VR and all previous games come together.
